Strategy

The first 3-year Strategic plan of the Strong Society Foundation is developed in August 2008 in participation of SSF Board and staff members, representatives of international and local organizations, local self-governing bodies, media organizations and beneficiaries.

The mission of the Found is to contribute to the strengthening of the society in Armenia through creating strong aware persons, reinforcement civil society and democratic institutions and community development.

Strategic goals for the 2009 - 2011 years include:

- Education system development;

- Community development, participation promotion;

- Civil society development.

Tactics for the realization of strategic goals are:

1.1. Educating and upbringing generation, ready to resist the challenges of the future through organizing collaborative secondary school activity in Sevan town (target group: children)

1.2. Methodical retraining of pedagogues of Gegharkunik, Kotayk, Tavush and Lori regions of Armenia in collaborative teaching methods.

2.1. Promote community development and civic participation in the decision-making processes in community and national levels (target group: young people, representatives of civil society organizations, educational establishments, mass media, business sector)

3.1. Raise the awareness of civil society organization representatives (target group: representatives of non-governmental organizations, unions, student and school councils, youth and non-formal groups).
